Russia steps up eliminating chemical weapons
Russia has unveiled a new plant to destroy chemical weapons stockpiled during Soviet times to a 2012 deadline, set by a UN convention fifteen years ago to eliminate chemical weaponry across the world.

Has any other military member found in iraq old chemical weapons / WMD's also?
During a tour in 2003, right after first invasion, our unit found plenty of empty warheads for saran gas, mustard gas, and other plenty chemical and bio agents. There were warehouse's full of the stuff, but I get so sick of hearing there were no WMDs. Well yes, there were no nukes, but plenty of weapons that violated geneva law, nato treaties, and sanctions by the united nations. How come we never hear about this crap in the media? Most people had no clue what we found over there.
btw… most of the agents were stolen by the time we reached those sights, but our chem detectors blew up cuz the areas were saturated with residual contamination…
My unit recovered two artillery shells that were filled with mustard gas.
Notice how the liberals are still trying to find excuses so they can claim that these were not WMD?
How come America can have Weapons of Mass Destruction and others are not?
When Iraq was alleged to have WMD, there was an international and American intrusion. But we all know that America has its own WMD and its arsenal is second largest to the world (first being Russia) How come no one objects to this? And we also think that the American government is probably one of the worst violators of human rights throughout third world countries. Do their government represent the majority of America's voices? Because I would hope to think it's the actions of their government officials alone and the citizens have got no clue.
Unless you are counting in tons of scrap metal the USA is number one, spending about 10 dollars for every one Russia spends on weapons.
The USA says WMD's owned by other countries are a very very bad thing, that's why. Only the USA can be trusted to use their WMD's for World Peace and the benefit of mankind.
The USA belives in freedom and the American way of life and will nuke any country that disagrees. Like GW said, 'Theres nothing wrong with a dictatorship, as long as I am the dictator."
And those other countries that have tried to take over the world in years gone by, Germany, Japan, very very bad. Only America can do that.
