The United States has used tactical nuclear weapons in its military campaign against Iraq and Afghanistan, a Middle East expert tells Press TV.
“Tactical nuclear weapons were used, at least one in Iraq and several were used in Afghanistan –in the Tora Bora mountains,” Peter Eyre, a Middle East consultant, said.
Eyre pointed out that the atomic bomb dropped on Afghanistan’s Tora Bora region was so powerful that it actually created an earthquake there.
The analyst went on to say that the use of such lethal weapons by US military, which is a gross violation of the Geneva Convention, has been sanctioned by the US presidents; thus they should be prosecuted for war crimes.
“In America, the ultimate commander in chief is the president,” Eyre said, adding that the President has the final say in using such weapons.
The US is the first country in the world to develop nuclear weapons and the only one to use them.
Thousands of people were killed in August 1945, when the US bombers dropped atomic bombs on Japan’s Hiroshima and Nagasaki.
The US invaded Afghanistan in 2001 under the pretext of toppling the Taliban regime, claiming that the militants have refused to hand over Osama bin Laden.
The US also invaded Iraq in 2003 under the excuse of destroying alleged weapons of mass destruction (WMD) belonging to former dictator Saddam Hussein.
Many civilians, including women and children, have been killed as a result of these wars.
The US-led war in Afghanistan, with civilian and military casualties at record highs, has become the longest war in the US history.

Vaccines-The True Weapons Of Mass Destruction

Dr. Rebecca (Roczen) Carley received her Bachelor’s degree in Diagnostic Ultrasound, attended medical school (and received the Samuel L. cooling systems broken again, leaking pipes, replacing pvc pipes with steel pipes, water temps rise, unit 5 using salt water to cool the reactor **** RED ALERT**** INDICATES THEY HAVE GIVEN UP ANY HOPE OF USING OR REPAIRING UNIT 5 IF THEY ARE KNOWINGLY USING SALT WATER!!! Seriously, who could be employed there long enough to keep it running, however, we all know that the salt water will ruin the containment vessel and that, too, in time will melt down. Radioactive beef already consumed by “unknown” people, “optional” safety regulations in US, Fort Calhoun flooded and people are wearing protective radiation gear?, pumps being brought in for excessive flooding, North Carolina nuclear power plant leaking 10 gallons of radioactive water a day, etc etc etc.

Operators of 2 reactors to apply for final tests
Two Japanese power companies are expected to apply to the country’s nuclear regulator for final tests of their reactors. This follows criticism that they have been running the reactors on a trial basis for too long.
The trial runs usually last for about a month in the final phase of regular checkups by the Nuclear and Industrial Safety Agency before commercial operations are resumed with the consent of local communities.
However, the 2 reactors have been undergoing trial runs for 4 months since regular checkups effectively ended after the March 11th disaster in eastern Japan.
One is the Number 3 reactor at the nuclear plant in Tomari Village in Hokkaido, operated by Hokkaido Electric Power Company. The other is the Number 1 reactor at the plant in Oi Town in Fukui Prefecture, run by Kansai Electric Power Company.
The chairman of the Nuclear Safety Commission of Japan, Haruki Madarame, said on Monday that this is clearly not a good thing. He urged the Nuclear and Industrial Safety Agency to do something about it.
A spokesman for the agency, Yoshinori Moriyama, said if such a trial operation is prolonged without just reason, it may infringe on a law. He said the agency will conduct final tests for the reactors immediately after receiving applications from their operators.
