Back when I was a kid, topics like the birth of life on Earth or the first moments in the existence of the Universe were fascinating, and my interest for these subjects survived intact to this day. Even more, now I have a lot of knowledge at my disposal, and still no answers. In fact, all I have done in the past years was to add more questions to the list, but it all gets down to this: evolution, or not?

Basically, it’s about who created what, or what happened back when all there is was an infinite void, but this war between creationism and evolutionism is now reaching areas you wouldn’t have thought about two or three decades ago. Anyway, we won’t talk about that now, because there’s something I want to make clear…

I am not a fervent supporter of any mainstream theory. While I consider the Bible an “almost decent” work of fiction, combined with some historical facts that have most chances to be true, I can’t fully support Darwin’s concepts either. After all, I am sure there is life on other planets, and we also have some proof that Earth was at least visited by aliens in the past. What if we are “children of the stars,” an experiment that is still going on, of a race that’s eons ahead of us?

As I was saying earlier, all I have is questions. A lot of people die with them, and I see nothing wrong with that. It’s in the human nature to question everything around us, but what happens when you don’t question anything? That’s not evolution, for sure!

When I read on PlayerzBlog about the seven days of creation, I took it as a joke, but then I realized things could be pretty dangerous. We all see around us that human kind is playing God more and more with each day – cloning, weapons of mass destruction, weather control, now an experiment that tries to reproduce the so-called “Big Bang,” but is this really evolution?

In the end, I don’t think it’s really important where it all started and how, but where we’re headed. Questioning how good is a computer game for our kids won’t take us anywhere, especially when we accuse a gaming company of “attacking Christian values.”

There’s one thing we all must remember – before pointing a finger, no matter our religion and beliefs: when you point a finger, there are three fingers pointed at you! Admitting other opinions and getting to know them well, that’s what I call evolution, and that’s what should be the goal of every human being – to know as much as possible about this world, so you can get to know yourself better.
